Your membership is critical to help CSTA and CSTA Washington build a vibrant community of K-12 computer science educators.
You may be thinking that you’re already a member of CSTA national and CSTA Washington. While you may be receiving e-mail from CSTA, you are missing out on the full benefits of the CSTA community and free or discounted access to the CSTA Conference, professional development, webinars, networking events, and CSTA-developed and partner resources.
To receive all these benefits from CSTA national, you need to pay an annual membership fee of $50. This fee is lower than any other professional organization for educators and there are often discounts.
Once you become a paid member of CSTA national, membership in CSTA Washington (and any other CSTA Chapter or Affinity Group) is free. Many CS educators who reside in Washington state sign up for CSTA national but never sign up to be a member of CSTA Washington. Unless you sign up to be a member of CSTA Washington, we do not know who you are and can’t inform you of computer science education opportunities in your local area.
If you have any issues joining CSTA or CSTA Washington (including the price), please contact washington@csteachers.org
